Overcoming Institutional Barriers to Potable Water Reuse Workshop

Helping the Nation advance efforts to MainStream potable water reuse through a problem-solving workshop of leading experts

End ClientUS EPA Region 9

Paradigm partnered with EPA, the National Science Foundation’s Engineering Research Center for Re-Inventing the Nation’s Urban Water Infrastructure (ReNUWIt), Meridian Institute, and The Johnson Foundation to organize a collaborative workshop of leading experts in potable reuse.  The workshop engaged a focused group of national, regional, and local leaders who drew from their specific expertise and collaboratively defined strategies for potable reuse nationwide.

Paradigm worked with its partners to lead the workshop planning and organization process, and to provide on-site support. At the completion of the workshop, key findings and recommendations were synthesized into a report to help municipalities and utilities advance efforts to implement potable water reuse strategies.  By engaging thought leaders from across the country to discuss these issues, we hope to generate a range of innovative solutions that propel the implementation of potable reuse and galvanize local agencies toward implementation.
